General Fuel pump immobiliser

Hi,

I understand there is a module attached to the on-engine fuel pump which is the immobiliser linked to the ignition key?

What do i need if replacing the ignition barrel from another van?

Please could you point out where this module is on the pic below?

You need to get a local locksmith, who does vehicle keys, to cut a key to suit your new lock and then transfer the transponder chip, or copy it, from your old key to the new one. Simple!

Sorry mate, is there something in the fuel pump that picks up on the chip in the key?

Some do some don't, depends on manufacturer, vehicle, age, etc. none of which are stated. Not sure which ones do have it.
Mine doesn't, 2004 2.0JTD Scudo.
Easier to sort it at the key/transponder end of the system.

Yeh but surely it's a visual thing.

Like it's that black box on the end or it's not

It's a w reg 2000 1.9td scudo.
