Hi sorry to ask by coil do you mean the cap? Im having an issue similar at the moment... Have ordered a new fuel pump up try and go from there

Hi. No, the ignition coil. Depending on your type of distributor it may be a different one.

A quick update here. I swapped the carb and so far so good. Looks like it was an over-fuelling issue after all.

this is good news! i wonder if its just sticking floats in the carb?
