Technical fuel injector problems

I have a fault on fuel injector 1, I have tried injector cleaner which seemed to work for 1 day, If I change the injector myself, will it need to be recalibrated by fiat afterwards. or can anyone offer anymore advice.

Dear Alaska,

I Have Had Problems Ever Since We Bought Our Diesel 4 Years Ago. The Fiat Garage Cannot Find A Problem On The Computer .

In Short Sometimes When Driving Along It The 'choke' Light Comes On And There Is A Dramatic Loss Of Power. This Situation Can Remain For A Long Or Short Time. Often The Power Returns But The Light Stays On.

Today The Car Just 'gave Up' When She Was Driving It. It Has Been Towed To The Garage But A Couple Of Hours Later It Works Fine !. I Have Tried 'diesel X' Which Seems To Work In The Short Term.

Is It Just A Load Of 'crap' Stuck In The Fuel Tank/pipe/injector ?

No calibration required.
