General fuel injector light

hi all, i have a ducato1.9 jtd 02 van, the problem is when the fuel injector light comes on the engine cuts out completly. ithen turn the key off then back on and the engine will start again and off i go, this might happen once in a day then the next day it could happen a dozen times.i have had the van serviced and they changed the fuel filter and removed the fuel pump and cleaned it and checked fuel lines they test drove van and said it was ok i drove the van today and the same problem happened three times, anyone have any ideals ????? thanks for your time

hi all. my warning light staying on all the time now, still able to drive van but wont go higher then 2,5 on the rev counter. machanic seems to think it might be the fuel regulator valve which he said is part of the h. p. fuel pump and cannot be bought on its own.??? if this is right would i have to go to fiat for the new pump or is there a cheaper supplier i could use? any information would be a great help to me, the van has cost me alot already, thanks for your time

The regulator has a bosch part number and can be found online, before you by a new one you should know that your pump is very common you should be able to pick a whole pump up cheap in a scrap yard. Check the bosch part number of your pump I think it will be 0 445 010 046. Same pump is in:
