Fuel Injector HELP!!!

hi - driving around tonight and my injector light has come on....

the car still feels like it's driving the same (it's a 1.4 sonot great LOL)

could it possibly be anything else? how fatal is it?

any rough ideas on price to repair?

the light can come on for lots of reasons,.
the running of the car might not be affected but the light has come on for a reason.
on my old 1.4 the light came on because my thermostat had gone,..causing the engine to overcool,thus overfuel..but it ran perfect..
what you really need is a diagnostics check in my opinion. roughly £30

When your thermostat went, did your car run lower than 2 bars on the temp guage all the time and the injector light only came on it cold days, mine runs like that on cold mornings the injector light comes on, and never gets any temp in it, somedays the guage doesn't move.

Check connection to the air flow sensor on throttle body removing this and then starting car up will also show injector light on...

It can be many things, so first:

1) last service (when and what?)
2) has anyone been doing anything on the car recently?

hi guys, thanks for your replies.

since first making the post my injector light have never come on... :S

my thermostat never went (as i know of) and the temp always seems to be how it should be. the car was serviced (full) by my local fiat garage about 6k ago and nothing else had been done to the car apart from this. i did have a small shunt about 4weeks ago tho???
