General Fuel Filter for 1.9 GP

Please can anyone enlighten me why it costs nearly £70 for a fuel filter. I couldn't find any info on the forums.

I think its to eradicate water from the fuel???? Im not to sure. I had mine done by a Fiat specialist, and it says Alfa Romeo on it.. oh well it works.

Thats about average price, fuel filter is crucial to your (diesel) engine so be careful before going down the cheap fuel filter route....you might well regret it.
