General Fuel Consumption far too high

Hey all

Just wanted to check sumthing about my uno and the fuel consumption...I think for a Uno im using far too much!! i fill up all 35 l if im correct and it lasts me about 3 days.. i get 300 km off a full tank...is this normal for a Uno????

i sumtimes go through R100 a day of petrol??? 10 L of petrol.... isnt that sorta high?
ill admit i do hav a heavy foot, since i am driving a 999cc cento...

A light right foot is essential for economy no matter what engine size to be honest. Just make sure the car is regularly serviced, the air filter is clean, plugs and leads are in good condition and the engine is set up correctly... oh and that the clutch doesnt slip and the tyres are correctly inflated...

That seems kind of heavy! I put R150 a week in my Uno 1100 and I run around all over Cape Town every day and to and from the office from home each day. I don't use her much at the weekends though. I must do about 480km + a week on that R150 worth of fuel. Is your choke closing fully and have you checked for petrol leaks? Is the tail pipe really black - indicating a rich mixture?
