Im still not sure what I think of bad boy lights.
I've seen them on Unos and Transits, and haven't been able to make my mind up.

I think I like the look, but the look is chosen by chavs, and I don't want to be a chav.

Still, looks good on your all black number :):(

Go for cargo netting, that was popular when the original rat look started back in the late 80's ;)

And eyebrows on headlights = CHAV!

:p

Im sure Mr Dictionary said sarcasm was the lowest form of humour.
Or was that imitation he was talking about?!?!

:)

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit only to those who have never mastered the art, and those who always fall victim to it.
Hmmmm
Or alternatively I found this one
I tend to think that wit is the highest form of sarcasm.

Or actually I LIKE this one
........it requires very little brain power to be sarcastic! puns or other 'true' jokes for example, actually need some sort of a sense of humour, intelligence and/or wit.

There was a pun there?!?!?

Are you sure?

I agree with you uCof - it wasn't a pun so much as the chance to apply a cliche (and yes, the 'e' needs the little accent-mark that my USA keyboard doesn't easily provide)

Road testers (motoring journalists) had a tonne of over-used phrases in the 70s and 80s... which included:
..."cornering as if on rails"
..."dab of opposite lock"
..."pulls strongly and cleanly"
..."steering weights up nicely in corners"
..."high levels of tyre adhesion"
and so on, many more that I can't remember right now.

I think a pun is more when you manage to make one phrase sound like another. E.g. "have you got a radiator for a FIAT Uno?" "Ooooh no, we've never had them."

Thanks for clarifying (I never knew what Gr stood for), but in NZ we have US keyboards - no Alt Gr key. The right Alt key does the same as the left Alt key for us. We also have @ on the 2 key and the " on the ' key, no pound sign, etc.

In which case, I present you with these easy cut and paste characters for future reference:

THREAD BACK ON COURSE

THOUGH things have gone a little "Pete Tong" with the car

WeLL
TRied the £30 set of X1/9 'Gran Finale' OZ Route alloys on FucT-FiaT this afternoon
Can only permanently fit two cos of punctures in the other two at the moment
So put them on the back
NoT SuRe I like them . . . . :shakehead:
They look scabby cos of flaking lacquer, corrosion and brake dust
[which is kinda GooD.....2 ME!?]
BUT I feel they look too shiny for the whole look of the CaR
Thinking they will have to be matt black like the X1/9 Cromodoras that were on it . . . :chin:
BUT will post some pics up tomorrow so you can see what I mean
[feel free to offer comments]

I also washed the car
First time in 4 months
BIG MISTAKE!
BLooDy paintwork just looks too good now [2 ME!?] :bang:
AND because I used thinnners and meths to get remnants of glue off some of those distressed areas where the vinyls where it has kinda lost its definition/patina
SO just going to have to wash it again
and "aTTaCK" it with a kitchen scourer to flat it back to a more 'aged' effect

Moral of the story - never wash your car!

Told you petrol was better :p
