front wipers

hi guys (and than you for the replies to other threads that i posted!)

ive got a slight problem with front window wipers! when i try the intermitent position nothing happens as does the next setting for slow speed, but when i move it down to fast speed im only getting a slow speed from that setting, this is the only speed i get from my window wipers. is there a fuse or is the motor broken or wot? strange! but i dont have a user manual for my car yet and if any1 knows where to get one can u advise me on this.

@ Mr Anonymous; if you mean "Front wiper query." That is about a different problem and will not help.

Hi Cammy

It's probably a collection of dirt and debris that is caught up in your windscreen wiper motor. You'll need to give it a clean, or like I did, give it a whack!

Lift up the bonnet and you'll see a long strip of plastic just under the windscreen. You'll need to take the left hand side of it off to be able to access the motor, which is inside the steel.
