Technical Front spring problem

Dear All,

On my Grande EVO I ordered the biggest 1.9D Coil Spring - KYB - RH3506 420mm x 11.8mm x 141 mm and I have 51796542 shock absorber. Can see the problem ... the spring sitting wrong on side and top of the spring. Is there any difference about the shock absorber beetwen 1.9 diesel and other type. I mean the different plate angle of he shock absorber? Thanks BR Lajos

That doesnt look correct..

Are you using ALL of the original parts..only a Different spring?

Grande Punto - Strut Top Bearing removal + Service / replacement & Front Spring replacement

Did they still do the Evo with the 1.9 engine? I thought they deliberately dropped the 1.9 diesel by the time the Evo came along trialing the 1.6 engine in the late model grandes ? Before all the diesel evos were either 1.3 or 1.6?

This raises questions about the parts you’ve bought and what you’re trying to fit them too?
Looking at the link you posted I’d guess you’ve bought grande Punto 1.9 springs for a 1.3 Punto Evo…. Not really a surprise they don’t seem to fit correctly.
