basically i noticed that inside the front lights they are divided up by small plasticy circles, can these be pulled out to colour code?

Yes, but dont ask me how. I have seen a few with it done but not attempted it myself

Mostly guess work but i'd say you'll have to cut the seal around the edge of the glass to remove the front. Then remove the plastic, paint it etc. and refit. But then you have to seal the glass back on, and you must make sure the seal is perfect otherwise you'll get condensation inside the lens. Not Good. Tricky, but can certainly be done.
