Last month I replaced a noisy wheel bearing on the left front. It's the second time I've done it and it's already noisy. AND, it was a nice SKF from S4P. :(

First time despite heating the hub/bearing carrier, I struggled to get the bearing in so assumed it got damaged. This time I used a proper fitting kit which worked well through the bearing was still very tight.

Thinking the housing maybe an over-tight fit, I'm looking for a replacement hub/bearing carrier. Does anyone know if they are the same across all 169 Panda, Ford Ka II, 500 and maybe the 312 Panda?

From memory, I believe
the 100hp and the 169 1.3 Multijet use the same carriers,
the 169 1.1 and 1.2 petrol use a different one,
500s (plus Kas and 312 Pandas) are all different to the 169 Pandas to handle the different track.

correct the 1.1 and 1.2 have a different number of splines so can be discounted to the diesel and 100HP which share the same number

I haven't checked any further than thjs

i guess the original bearing lasted years, so doubt its too tight

i would of thought something gone wrong with the assembly

I doubt it would make any difference. But the gap in the circlip is normally over the abs sensor

probably know more when its inspected and tested

can you hear it rotating the wheel while its jacked up

Any roughness or play

The LH wheel bearing was fitted about 18 months ago to replace a noisy bearing. It was gradually getting noisier and got to the stage where it just had to go.

The new one is now making the same noise though it was quiet initially. The new one has lasted barely 2000 miles. I swapped the wheels left/right so tyre noise can be ruled out.

I had struggled to fit the first replacement so assumed damaged it while fitting. There was no grinding though it did not spin as freely as I'd expect with the drive shaft removed. I will photograph the bearing internals. This bearing was also a struggle to fit. Much tighter than the RHS. Just to confirm, I do have the correct tools pressing only onto the outer race, etc.

I am NOT looking for the splined centre though they are not silly money to replace. https://www.shop4parts.co.uk/?name=store&op=Product&ProdID=625

I am looking for the cast carrier that bolts to the suspension leg and carries the brakes swing arms, etc. I need to know if its the same across all models.
Ebay example (though not 100HP) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FIAT-PAN...089670?hash=item3fc8d12646:g:zo8AAOSw0lldQunC

Yep, the "pillar" is what I assumed you meant. 100hp and 1.3 have vented discs (although different diameters) and share the pillar part numbers (at least that's what I remember being the case, as I'm pretty sure I used one off a 100hp on a 1.3 after finding it was different to a 1.2)
