Does anyone know how easy/difficult it is to replace the front coil springs? I have a motorhome on a 2004 ducato 2.3JTD. Last mot had advisory on rusty coil springs.

That is not a DIY job. It takes some large tools people normally do not possess.
People that have those tools will say that replacement is fairly easy.

You can do it without splitting the ball joints etc if you have decent coil spring compressors, removing and replacing the nut requires a deep socket and on some there is no way of holding the shock so you need an impact to reassemble.

Rusty or corroded????
Advisories are the testers own opinion and not part of the MOT.
I would get a trusted mechanic to take a look first.

just done both of mine, best to get changed as a pair. You need a spring compresser and a lot of nerves. Also air guns with sockets on make quick work. The nuts on top inside the cab are buggers to get to and be careful with the wiring.. Good Luck. Oh shop around for prices there are cheap and better makes
