Over a 10 mile drive, 3 or 4 times i get a noise from the offside front corner of the ducato - a metal on metal bang/clunk, not necessarily when i hit a pot hole, might be a dump in the road.
I have had a good look in the wheel arch. I can't see anything amiss. I have tapped the spring and the damper with a rubber mallet but no sign of movement or noise.
I was wondering if the noise came from where the top of the spring/damper is attached to the chassis, but that area seems to be hidden behind a panel. I have tried pushing my borescope into the area but i can't see anything.
Any advice?
