Hi All,

Last Saturday I had a front bumper fitted to my riveria.

I have only had the car back 5 days and now one of the bumper slats at the bottom has come off. The garage are trying to say I drove into a kerb, despite the bumper being too high to hit a kerb!! There does appear to be a scratched section at the bottom of the slate. I know for a fact I have not hit a kerb or anything, it would have to be quite a force to break off the three fibreglass or plastic attachments!! They purchased the bumper from DTR

Has anyone heard of this happening before? I've had my car for two years and flown over speed bumpers and it's never happened before, it's a coincidence it happens once I get a new bumper!!!!

Thanks All

Will do. I have just spoken to DTR and they wanted me to email some aswell.

I hoped you might respond, mr barchetta bible! ;)

The lower spoiler should be bonded onto the main bumper and from the picture it looks like it has not been. The amount of wind pushing down on the lower spoiler at 70 MPH is lots more then you think and KC had his ripped off at speed a year or so ago.

The pictures taken from above the bumper show that the bumper has moved on the mounting brackets that are tucked up inside the bumper under each wing. I would check the holding bolts to make sure everything is done up correctly. From the picture things don't look that bad so dont stress about it. Jack the car up and adjust the holding bolts and push the bumper back into place. Order some tiger glue and a few plastic clamps from your local DIY superstore. (y)

Thanks for that. You should open a diagnostic clinic Mr Orange Peel!!

DTR have said it's fitted incorrectly aswell. With all these emails from specialists I should be able to get a new bumper or at least the money to get it all fixed properly!!

Many Thanks xxxx:worship:
