Technical Front Anti Roll bar

Hi Guys,

I normally hang out in the Cinq section, funnily enough, but I've been asked a Fiat question I don't know the answer to.

We currently have a 51 plate Brava 1.4 that has a knackered front anti roll bar. These seem to be on back order with Fiat.

Does any other anti roll bar fit?

You sure thats what you have?

Try your local motorfactors for one they usually have ARB's, or can get them next day.

i'm sure it isnt

what is wrong with the ARB? surely it can only need new drop links (£10 each at motorfactor) or rubber buffers (scrapyard couple of quid). if the bar is bent then there must have been an impact, in which case i'd be looking carefully for other damage.

Yes:- Its the Anti roll bar we need

No:- Its not bent, neither us the car

Story:- The drop links had failed, no surprise there then. Replacing the drop links involved undoing the nut on the end of the ARB. Up to this point, no problem.

During the replacing of the nut the ARB sheared at the end of the thread.

Hence the first answer.
