Get a rat! Much better than hamsters. And you can proberly just catch one rather than pay for a hamster.

on my college course i learnt that a pet rat is reccomended the best pet for children. I had 6 pet rats and they:slayer:
I also learnt that hamsters are the worst pet you can buy your child due to the awake only at nite thing. Children wake them up from their sleepies in the day to play with them, the hamster gets a grump on and bites, then spends all nite running in its squeeky wheel and scratching keeping the sed child awake!
Yet hamsters remain the most popular choice for a childs pet! People just dont do their research obiously
No offence to rats but they just don't do cute.
i've had pet rats, mice, guineas, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils....
the rabbits, guineas, gerbils (althoguh nocturnal) and rats were the most fun.

Rats rock! Give them ropes to climb along and up, tubes to climb through and puzzels to work out. Very inteligent creatures and put several members of the human species to shame.
