Hi all,
Got an external hard drive - Freecom "ToughDrive"
I need it in the FAT 32 format, but when i go to format it i only have the options for exFat or NTFL (or something similar)

I can format other drives to FAT 32 but not this one..
Will i need a different external hard drive or is there another way of formatting a HDD other than using windows -

I've tried from control panel - deleting the volume then formatting it, reformatting it & form computer homescreen - re-formatting it :( No luck..

XP
Click on Computer, select Manage from the menu. Go to Disk Managment, and click on it. It should show all the drives in your system, including the USB drive. Right-Click on the Freecom USB drive, and select Format FAT32.

Vista
Type "Computer" into the start menu.
Select "Computer Management".
Select "Disk Management".
Right click on the USB drive select Format FAT32.

Completely free!.

Windows has a problem formatting big disks as Fat32.
I'll try this next

It will not let me perform the operations as it's a demo version....(n)
It should at least let me try the program before shouting pay $39.99 for the full version(n)

theres always the free toll built into dos, just convert the drive to the correct format, and it works with any disk size :)
