I would be glad to be rid of them. They are as good as new and the ride was really good. Monro are as good or as near as dammit, possibly a little softer but easily as well controlled. Maybe a new bottom bush or add weld / braze to the bolt and then file it back to size. The hold is I think 1mm too big I couldnt get a 0.5mm sleeve. I tried making one but it just didnt work.

That's a very kind offer @The Panda Nut :)
Yes please, I'd be interested if nobody has claimed them yet.
My rears are rusty and had MOT advisory for leaking so was planning to replace them.
If so, I'll DM you my UK address if you'd be happy to post?
Of course, happy to cover your costs plus a contribution to the bacon butty fund
Please PM me. Im in Norfolk but have reasons to go to Kent, Oxford and Manchester and dont mind detouring to get near or deliver.

Well done @The Panda Nut for offering them up for free

Are they the correct size hole for the 100HP which I believe use a different bolt ?

A simple shim cut from a drinks can should fix the rattle
I tried aluminium strips, tin cans. copper sheet and none of it stopped it rattling. Can anyone identify if the bolts are different on ePer?

I don’t have 100hp on eper

From memory ones 10mm and the other is 12mm but can’t remember which way round

Someone used a tube to fit there’s on here I will see if I can find it

The 1.2 is 10mm I think. Maybe I was sold the wrong part. It was clearly listed for both back then. The 100HP damers take a lot of stick so probably a heavier bolt in order!

I tried ordering tubes on eBay but the buyer I tried seemed to be a scammer... So I gave up.

Had success but can’t seem to find the original thread where some left over tube was posted on

Here it is

Someone had success with 12mm copper water pipe. Not sure if water pipe isn’t thinner now

Try this thread near the end for sleeving requirements on a 100hp with Koni STR.T shocks:

Thank you @The Panda Nut for the PM, and @koalar & @SPORTPACK50 for the links to potential fixes for sleeving the bushes.

I've just had a rummage in my box of random plumbing bits, and do have a length of 12mm copper pipe, so I'll give it a go. I'll pass the dampers on to DaveMcT if I can't get a satisfactory solution.

Although....
...I don't want to be just grabbing random parts that aren't correct for my 1.2. Are these dampers really for 100HP or MultiJet?

I am not sure what’s going on

Reading through the threads it seems like the

Standard panda normally have a 12 mm diameter top mounting bolt and counter intuitive the 100HP is smaller at 10 mm

But you say your top mount bolts are 10 mm diameter but it’s a standard 1.2 Panda which isn’t normal

Yet replacement shocks fitted fine.

Maybe I have got something wrong ?

Hmm, that post where they used 12mm copper pipe was for the top shocker mount hole being too big on a 100HP:
As I understand, the issue with these Bilsteins is the lower hole is too big on the standard Panda.
Might just have to see where I am when I match the dampers up to the car.
I've never removed the top shocker bolt, suspect my dampers might be the originals.

My earlier post is wrong, that will teach me to try and use my memory

As far as I know on a 1.2

Top have always been M10 60mm x1.25 pitch

And

Bottom have always been M12 90mm 1.25 pitch

Bolt sizes has been fairly standard since at least the early Puntos and still the same

The head do change they been external torx then standard bolts and I believe some are external torx again.

Sockets are 15mm and 19mm I think on my car ?

The top bolts are easy to cross thread. Maybe they've been re-tapped to M12.

BTW are these shocks now staying at home or has someone grabbed them? I'm still interested.

The shocks fitted fine but the shoulder on the bottom bolt was too small for the bushing in the bottom mount of thedamper. From memory it was 1mm under. Looking back now, I would take the bolts and have a few spots of braze put on the shoulder and then file it down to fit. I did try to find a bolt to fit but the local factor was not very helpful and low on stock of the required sizes. I was pushed for time to have the car back on the road so never fully investigated that option. It seems a simple issue to solve..... By this time I was so pissed off with it I just wanted to insert the dampers up Bilstein! The Monro subs are as good for ride and handling so they have my future business from now on.
