i am in the middle of buying all the bits and pieces for my car so that i can modify it over christmas, i have a 1.4S with plastic bumpers, so i bought some new bumpers which were colour coded so that i can spray them in jan.

my new front bumper has holes for the fog lights, i assume all i need is a set of actual fog lights for the front plus the switch pannel from the interior.

but what about the wireing ? is it all there on my 1.4S ? or will i need the wireing as well ?

ps. does anyone have a set to sell or know where i can get some ?

thanks

fastfiat.co.uk do fog lights to original equipment specifications.

Re: Re: fog lights

those look good but do they come with the switch ? i assume those are just to replace broken fog lights or something, i would need the dash switch wouldent i ?

can anyone advise ?

Re: Re: fog lights

I'm in the same boat mate. Ended up having to buy all the bits, including the bumper and switch panel from my local Fiat dealer. I have a 97 1.4 sx and the wiring is there under the bumper, but you still need another wiring harness to connect the two fogs together. My bumper is being painted at the mo, but the thing that is worrying me is where to put the relay, as i dont wanna fry the wiring! Any thoughts anyone?

Re: Re: Re: fog lights

If any1 knows what size the fogs are and how they fix i have a set of aftermarket ones lying around

Re: Re: Re: Re: fog lights

how much were the bits GM ? i am searching scrappies at the minute looking for the bits but it is proving harder then i thought, i realised i would need the switch pannel and actual fog lights themselves but i just assumed the wireing was all there

how soon before you have all yours up and working GM ? because once you have done yours you can help me lol

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: fog lights

I spent a while looking in scrappies for bits too but just gave up eventually as Bravos are thin on the ground here and went to Fiat. I'm in Ireland so i'm sure that parts will be cheaper for you guys in the UK, but for everything was about 500euro. Fiat here actually had a foglight kit with all the bits that you need. They are:

1. Bumper with cut-outs
2. 2 x foglights
3. 2 x foglight surrounds (the plastic housing that fixes the lights to the bumper)
4. Wiring harness that joins the lights together and then to the plug that you should have tie wrapped to the bottom inside of your bumper.
5. Switch panel for the dash. Be careful here cos there are 2 different types with different shaped plugs on the back. Bring along your current one to make sure the new one will fit. It's really easy to remove - only 2 allen head screws.

There is no hardware included so i had to scrounge around for screws, washers etc.

The only thing that i'm unsure about is the relay. The Fiat dealer said that i don't need one, but in my Haynes manual there is a front fogs relay in the wiring daigram. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Anyway, should have mine fitted in about a week so i'll keep you posted.

Hope this helps!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: fog lights

i am sort of in the same position - fiat do a fog light kit for £90 without the fog lights they sell them at £40 i think it is - though if you look on the bravoguide or put an fao for nige he knows someone who sells them for quite cheap,
i need to check if my car has the wiring in - as its an s spec i doubt it - fiat do the panel for £50 though ive had a quote from a scrappy for about £20 - £30 depending where i go and if i have to remove it or they do!
best place ive found that can help you are www.automend.com - they have 5 scrappies who are specialist fiats - one surpisingly close ot me (nottingham! hooray). it all mounts up in terms of costs - see if you can get a bumpe with all the wiring and lights in etc from a scrappy or someone on here!
hope this helps

you will need a relay. otherwise it will put the load of the two 51 Watt? bulbs on top of the headlight circuit.
