Hi,
Hoping someone can help.
'I have a 58 plate Square nose Multijet. My oil light began to flash a few weeks ago after a hard drive uphill on a long run. Looking in the hand book, it seems that an oil service was due. I changed the oil and filter but the light remains flashing for a minute or so after start up. My local garage suggested that it could be the DPF is blocked and it needs a forced regeneration.
I had a forced regen done a couple of months ago after fitting a new EGR - and in anycase, the car has a dedicated DPF light on the dash which goes off after start up to indicate all is well with the DPF. Is it more likely that the flashing oil light is just a 'timer' for service and just needs resetting?
Anyone know for sure?
Nick
