Hi, I have read the threads re flashing odometer and battery draining link with blue and me.
Mine started with a message when I turn the ignition on saying 'service coupon expired' then
a couple of days later the odometer flashing, my partner does the service so no issues there
but how can I stop the flashing please? Be grateful for any advice. Thanks

assume they reset the service?
Flashing odo can be other issues around voltage, earth straps, voltage sensor……
Any other errors showing when run the software?

I don't have any other warning lights on and not sure what you mean by 'running the software'. Is it possible to reset the service ourselves?

You can reset the service counter manually, as per the attached YouTube video.

I have done this for the past 5 years without any issues.

Thanks I'll see if there is anyone local. I have a feeling I may just have to get used to it flashing!
Flashing is generslly a warning of a can bus fault, the most common of which is the blutooth unit, but any networked component could cause it to flash if its been removed or there is a fault Its almost certainly not related to service reset. It may be that MES could reset the cars network and restore normality. The reset is a 5 minute job.

Service coupons is a counter system which seems to have no real point, but is to do with the cars ECU software so probably worth resetting it. MES can do this. AT each service the coupon is normally reduced by 1 by the garage until at 90,000 miles it reaches 0. Resetting the service does not automatically reduce the service coupon number (madly). It can then be reset to 9 manually with ease. Again its a simple thing with MES. I find MES is worth every penny of its costs and its easy to use. You can check nearly all electronic components, see air con pressure, battery voltage temperature and check all systems work. You can monitor things live with the car runningand driving. It can produce graphical infprmation for diagnosis. It tells you what to do in many cases to rectify faults and warning lights. See Gendan.co.uk Many on here seem to agree its a very useful thing to have. It saves plugging in for diagnosos which has saved its cost many times over for me.
