I own a 96 TD100, in the last couple of weeks the glow plug light flashes for a couple of minutes after starting the car. Nothing different about the running, seems the same. Any suggestions of what would cause this?
I've had the car for 8 months and since i bought it it also has a dip in the idle speed every so often causing the revs to dip and a puff of smoke to appear. Feels like it happens when running at steady speed as well, but that could easily be me not holding a steady throttle. Again any suggestions on what this could be?

Hello!

I have the same problem with mine (JTD 105 / Y99). Let me tell you, it is not a big problem. It means that one of the pre-eating coils/plugs is damaged. T

The part itself is not expensive, the problem is that for the replacement they have to remove a lot of stuff (fuel injector pump, cambelt removed and put back again, etc.). I keep mine as it is (Fiat dealer advise). The only problem you might find is to start the engine in real cold conditions. Since I live in Portugal... I don't care really.

Good luck!
