Thank to Wegi I am now the very excited owner of a FK 'coilover' kit for my Bravo

Just inspected it and it looks excellent, includes KONI dampers

the rears are not actually 'coilover' they are spring platform with seperate dampers - this is a similar arrangment I had on the 500 (y)

can't wait to get it fitted and set up, report to follow

Finally got the kit fitted and very happy with the garage that did the work FoxGarage Camberley.

After a little tweaking raising the front 12mm I am now happy with the stance. Front is -35mm, rear -20mm. Shocks currently full soft. Car feels really good but a little under damped on certain surfaces so should be even better when alignment and stiffness optimised. Feels like driving my old Fiat 500 Sport! Big grin.

Looks fantastic Rob! What kind of adjustability do these offer? Wish I could get more stiffness in the rear

had 4 wheel alignment done yesterday, camber and tracking dialled in

the tracking was way out and had already started to wear the tyres unevenly...

went for 1° - camber and toe slightly -ve (to stock spec)

thanks to Chris Mullins Tyres in Gloucester for doing a pukka job for a bargain price (y)

wound the rebound on the koni dampers up last night to 50% stiff and it reacts to bumps even better now, has calmed the reaction to hitting an imperfection in the road now (and there are a lot of imperfections around here)

also reduces what they call 'ricer bounce' when you drive along an undulating surface

so if i take it on a smooth track i can increase the damping further but for road use this is an ideal compromise

so in summary would I recommend fitting this kit?

well i drove my wife's Bravo Sport at the weekend so i am in a position to give a like for like comparison.

+ves of the kit
looks
handling composure

-ves of the kit
ride height reduced so you have to take care over potholes and speedhumps
ride is stiffer so reduced comfort, especially on broken surfaces

so in summary this is a good lowered and stiffened setup, as good as the SPAX kit i had on my 500
should you buy it? that depends on if you like driving lowered/stiffened cars, for most owners it will make the car less practical and more tiring to drive
but for those who like a sporty, tight chassis it will make you grin

That seems pretty cheap compared to the Eibach / Bilstein option! Is anyone able to offer a comparison?

Though my car is an 07, its only covered 40odd thousand so planning to wait until the ride starts to go before changing anything...

yo'll be waiting forever

my wifes Bravo is on 100k now and still rides perfectly on stock suspens

Hi, I'm from Brazil and I wan't a new setup for my bravo 150 tjet, but here in Brazil is very difficult to get a kit like this one.

How is the ride on the car in the streets? Here the roads are very bumpy..

Can you give a feedback?

Regards,
Felipe
