Panda (Classic) Fizzle :)

CLS John it will be 90 quid to have yours blasted and coated in black, if you want to do it just let me know and i will sort it, the guy is in York anyway :)

I will PM you other chaps, keep Johns thread free

That is a very good price! Wish he was closer to me :(

With regards to tyres John, I'd stick out for 165/60's, the other sizes are too borderline. You can get new for about £140 but keep an eye on eBay while you're saving.

Have you got a link for that price ?

Seeing as I've got bargain wheels and refurb I may as well save up for the rubber (y)

Still haven't measured for the bolts though, Fizzles bonnet is firmly stuck, I've broken a screwdriver already trying to open it and wheel brace etc is in place :(

funny how the cheap branded tyres are out of stock!

My local garage wants to charge a tenner a time for fitting etc so costs keep creeping up :(

I'll see if any local places will do a decent price fitted.

£10 a corner fitted and balance is about par tbh, though the guy is mobile so comes to me.

Think I'll just try local places and see who comes in cheapest with fitting, seems less hassle than buying online, delivery, lugging rims and tyres to garage etc.

I like things that are simple and anything that involves the internet gets complicated quickly

Funnily enough I'm already watching the part worns :)

I spotted lots of the PRIMWELLS and was going to ask if anyone had any !

I'll have to see what's left in the kitty after painting and bolt buying and center caps.....

any part worn tyre from our scrap yard down here for a set of 4 is about £60. that fitted and balanced. and what more fun thing to do while you wait? walk around the scrap yard!
the ones i always end up with still have the little manufacturing sticky out pimple bits on them and on the cinq they still had the painted on stripes!
car must have had them on for MOT then failed on something big and scrapped.

worth looking into to see if any local scrap yard does it around your way..

Can't believe it's been a month since I posted on Fizzles thread

That tallies with starting work again though.

Anyway, the old boys paint work has dulled down quite a bit - must be all that 'orrible sunshine stuff we've had :yuck:

So after giving Twizzle the mk3 a quick wash and managing to smear trim cleaner over the shiny bonnet I set off to get a bit of rapid detailer stuff and a few new cloths.

Asda sell that demon shine stuff for £4 a spray bottle and cloths for £2 a pack of six - bargaintastic (y).

Don't worry I didn't use any of that on Fizzle, (well I did but the result was pish poor).

I've plumped for what I used last year, namely AutoGlym Renovating Polish, Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Sealant/Protector.

I also got out the remnants of the clay bar.

After a bit of trial and error with the various products I've come to the conclusion that.

1. My hands hurt

2. I want a MOP

3. I want someone else to do the MOP for me

Seriously, the clay bar did sod all, I think it's more suited to the mk3's modern paint.

The renovating polish takes off scary ammounts paint but gives a better finish when followed by the SRP and sealant.

Well hopefully tomorrow I will get a good afternoon on Fizzle to get him looking a bit brighter for the Panday :)
