Hi Everyone,
Want to fit a new Diesel Filter on my Mk 1 Doblo.
Was all going very easily no problems until I found that the INSERT with the Circlip on the old Filter did not want to remove - so had to put all back on again and seek advice.
I removed the Circlip and the Insert swivels and turns with no real resistance.
But it will not pull out and I need it to go into the new Filter - I need the INSERT to fit to the new Filter
I could be more 'brutal' but then a mess if that is not what is required.
It certainly does not screw into the new one- there is no thread in it - it just looks like a push in fit.
Any suggestion welcomed.
I Attach 3 images - one with typical Clips On and the other with a couple of Clips Off - I took off the smaller tube so that I could get a clear Image of INSERT.
All tubes into the Filter have a Collar around them which secures the Clip and tubing.
On 'The Question' ( Red Arrow.) you can see the INSERT into the Filter secured by a Wire Circlip. ( Green Arrow.)
Best Rgds.
