I've bought a 75 cam complete with followers and shims, just want to check a few things before fitting...
(1) I assume that the clearances need to be set as for a Punto 75, not a 55 - is this right?
(2) Are the followers off the 75 any different to the 55 ones, or can I just use the original 55 followers?
(3) To shim it, is there any better technique than trial-and-error? i.e. just putting random shims in when fitting the cam for the first time, measuring the clearances and changing as appropriate) And can you change the shims without actually removing the camshaft?
(4) When fitting the pulley, is it possible to fit it the wrong way (i.e. so that the timing is out even if the marks on the pulleys are properly aligned)?
Cheers
