Technical Fitting a Genuine Fiat Stilo Armrest

Hi all at FF,
I have just purchased a genuine Fiat arm rest as an upgrade for my Stilo 1.6 Active Sport that is not currently fitted with one (ie. it only has the storage tray at the rear of the console). It came complete with all plastic trim and the three relevant screws to secure to the console bracket. Upon removal of my centre console I found that there is only a somewhat flimsy plastic bracket with the one hole that secures the centre console at the rear.
Do I need a completely different bracket to attach the armrest to or am I just simply missing something. Any advice/ideas would be most welcome. Regards alsimmo

You need the correct bracket for the armrest. Depending on year, they are different for 3 and 5 door Stilos.

Armrest support bracket (3 Door - 46811735 ) is available at my local Fiat dealers (Forward Autos St.Helens) for £20.00 inc. of vat.
