General Fitting a DVD Player to A New Panda

Hi Guys,

Im new to this forum so i dont know where to post this question. I want to fit a portable flip down DVD player to the roof of my wifes new Panda. I was wondering if anybody can advise me on how to do this if you have done it before. How do I take the Roof Liner down? Where can I run the cable for the AUX on the CD Car CDPlayer? Im an electrical engineer so Im confident i can do the electrical work, its just knowiung how to remove the cosmetic stuff!!

Did you mean the AUX on the factory fitted blaupunkt unit? That one's a bit tricky. It won't let you use any signal on the AUX until the unit recognizes a CD changer.

I'm trying to do the same thing. Here's what I know: the detection is done by a serial protocol: 4800kbps (can switch to 9600kbps). It's using 9-bit data bits, which makes it difficult to implement on PCs (although can be done by using the parity bit).
