Ascending a steep hill, the engine judders as if starved of fuel. I have checked for vacuum leaks and found that the vacuum pipe union on the back of the air box had been snapped off. plastic welded it back on hoping that it would solve the issue, as there was oil around to top of the carb. Thinking it was drawing oil through the carb creating a dirty mixture. Test drove today and found that it is still juddering, albeit, intermittently going up hill as if in the wrong gear. I am yet to pull out the spark plugs to check. Oil level is correct. No head gasket issues.

Engine mounts
Poor running
Centre prop shaft bearing
Blocked exhaust
Head gasket
Coils
MAP sensor

And many more

We need to start narrowing it down

Juddering, is it violent, is there any banging, what do the spark plugs look like

Do you have a scan tool that reads live data

The breather hoses do not effect running, any small leak pre MAP sensor is read by the MAP sensor and adjusted for

On the flat does it accelerate okay

Does it smell hot, any other symptoms

It runs fine on the flat. Juddering as if in wrong gear. Feels more like fuel starvation.
Don't have a scan tool to hand. Probably take to local garage to use theirs tomorrow.
Engine mounts are fine. Head gasket has been checked.
No smelling hot or any other symptoms.
It is intermittent when ascending a steep hill.

The car is in southern Spain at altitude whether this will have any effect

Post 1 states not checked spark plugs.
Post 2 asks about spark plugs.

Check the spark plugs , post photos of firing ends of spark plugs.

The greater the load on the engine(such as going up hill) the "harder" it is for the spark to occur at spark plugs.

Is the car jerking or making a physical noise

Spark plugs are fine.

Does not tell use anything

Are they

Grey, yellow, green, white, black
Dry, wet
Gap size
Corona ring
Ash,soot deposits
Electrode erosion on inner
Electrode erosion on outer
Do all four look the same

And so on

which is why a photo would help, we have to start somewhere

What the MAP sensor look like, is there oil on the tip

Without any useful feed back you will just get a long list of every possible cause

I will start it off

Inlet manifold
Compression
Ecu
Map sensor
Crank sensor
Plugs
HT
Coils
Coolant sensor
Injectors
Throttle body
Fuel pump
Timing
Plugged cat

And so on, but this isn't all that helpful
