So for those of you who have been reading my recent posts I thought I'd tell you about my first proper run out in the new motor. I left Carlisle and headed for a friends place in Ipswich on Friday, a run of about 340 miles, and my (new to me) Multipla ran like a dream ;-)
The fridge was a godsend, to be able to pull into a services and have an ice cold drink was brilliant, kept my sandwichs cool as well.
When I got south of Stafford the weather warmed up dramatically requiring the air con to be put on and even with that and my somewhat slightly heavy right foot, the car returned about 42 Mpg which I thought was respecatble.
I love the slightly higher than average driving position and the visibility is brilliant.
On the way down I got a TOOT and flash of the lights from a fellow owner so I felt I should the same when I passed one on the M6 coming home yesterday.
2 weeks in and I'm loving this car ;-)
