seem to have gotten very boring for me, was in all night after college, never looked out the window once at them all going off.

just been out in the car and parked near the local display at newburn, got bored quickly, the sound was out of sync too :p

anyone else bored of fireworks? or am i just being wierd again

Must be honest i think i have grown out off fireworks at 19.

Guessing that its the fact that with all my mates at uni i dont go with them to a big display so am not to bothered.

It has lost the fun factor

there doesn't seem to be so many as there used to be! i remember when i was a kid after having our fireworks in the garden then hanging out the window for the next hour or so. the smell of gunpowder in the air (y) you don't get that these days :(

I went to Carlisle display, which is an AMAZING show, themed bonfire (big birthday cake this year) and a display set to music that goes on for a full hour (y) CWC usually have a small display as well, take your own fireworks and drainpipes along and try not to blow anyone up. I was oop norf when it was on this year though so missed that one.

So no, I'm not bored of them :)

thats what happens when you grow up.

you cant blow up your neighbours cat or drainpipe anymore so whats the point?

you may also notice your action man figures dont seem as entertaining these days.

Me, GrandeJ, my housemate, and her bf went to the display in leicester. was impressive. there were these ones that were attached to parachutes! they went up.. glowed, and floated down into the crowd and set them on fire (not strictly true but it might have happened!)

i wanted some sparklers but ASDA and Tesco both ran out :(

im 22 in a month and not bored of fireworks yet :D still get the OOOOOOOO, AAAAHHHH factor from me! (y)

We went to one in Bobbington last night (beacon radio was there) and they had those fireworks too with the parachutes

Couldn't work out their purpose though tbh

a certain budget is allocated to the display, if they dont spend all of it then they get less money next year, when you've got £180k to spend you need to find all sorts of ways to blow it, parachute glowers are just one of the great ways your council tax is wasted.

same purpose as regular fireworks i guess... get people to stand in a cold field for 20 minutes before they actually decide to start them, make kids cry and cover their ears cos of the loud noises, scare pets and make people have allergic reactions to toffee apples cos even tho they know they are going to go into anaphylactic shock, they just taste too good to resist.. or maybe thats just me  god bless benadryl!

lol
