for those who have a fire turbo, what is your turbo boost in Psi or Bar ?

and what is the most powerful fire turbo you know ?

I would like to have 150hp from my 1.2 8v 75hp

im running a 1242cc 8v spi low boost conversion with the boost at 0.35 bar or 4 psi roughtly going to run around 0.6-7 bar when the compression is lowered,,,,,at 0.35 bar its good for around 105bhp with the mods ive done

I'd say, make as sure as you can that your fuelling is right, fit the hardest plugs you reasonably can (the SPI set ups suffer from charge robbing and overheating/detonation on no 4 cylinder) and a knock sensor. Then edge it up slowly.

Do you have a vernier pulley? Using decomp plates throws the valve timing off.

i have one on order for that reason, it been puzzling me that one though because in my mind im thinking how it can be thrown out,,,,the head is raized evenly,,,,,,,,:confused:

With 11psi my 1242 mpi had 118bhp with 15psi it went bit quicker lol oh and with only 18psi tire pressure it still dont get traction untill 4th gear in the dry on a drag strip i will get the video on you tube eventually
how your intending to get traction is beyond me without spending much money
 
I prefer a t2 than a t15.

for the video, if it's possible iI would like to see it ;)
 
No problem mate i will try get my friend to get it on you tube
it dont help being next to a light weight honda crx turbo with over 500bhp
 
My old one (blu's rebuild one) boosted to 20psi for a while without blowing anything and that was using a decomp plate :eek:

Although around 12psi for everyday iirc

The Sei is a high boost from VA with low comp pistons and is about 11psi on overboost and 8ish on normal..
 
is it possible to find the technical ist in detailof vanaaken kit or noviec kit ?
 
i used to run mine at 1bar which crept upto 1.2bar it went like **** off a shovel till its oil pump packed in and killed the engine

my new 1.1 mpi engine will be running one bar on electronic boost control

it has a hybrid turbo on, spools as fast as a t15 but compresses t20 air

when i drove it home yesterday i only have to rev to 2500rpm ish and im already hitting 1bar it spools up much nicer then my old t15

cant wait till its fully mapped and fully drivable
 
Wow at 2500rpm im still building boost lol.
I built my turbo conversion myself. some tuning tips from from uncle RB and his friends lol
