Technical Fire engine to vw box

Does anybody have experience or knowledge of mating a modern fire unit to a vw transaxle with a view to fitting in an 850?

I’ve heard, on the Historic Military Vehicle Club web forums, of a couple of kublewagon (replicas) with Uno engines and the bundeswehr fitting Uno engines into the old dkw…my only caveat would be is that the search function on said site is a ‘catch-all’ and you’ll have to trawl through lots of dross…can’t be any clearer as just don’t know

I would probably go onto a VW forum and see if anyone had put a fiat fire engine in a VW.
