Hey guys,

Just got home in my Bravo. I love it, such a more smoother drive than my 2005 fiesta was! Not quite worked out what all the stalks do, but I've only had it an hour!

from a general maintenance point of view, how easy is bulb changing. Any really awkward ones or is it pretty easy?

Any little pointers about anything would be greatly appreciated.

Ash :)

Hey. Congrats on the purchase. What model is it? And pictures would be good.
Bulb changes arnt an issue really, ive had a look under the bonnet and my only issue I can tell with mine is left headlight. Might need to remove battery to get better access. But it's not the worse access I've seen so would probably be fine with out. I hear fog light bulbs might be an issue. But I've not looked myself. Rear lights are always a Doddle

It's a 59 plate Active Sport. in the gunmetal grey colour. (What is the specific colour name?) picture below..

And ahhh, I'm sure I'll get used to it. I knew my fiesta inside out. Just been tinkering with the car menu, and it's features. Turned on the auto locking (with it being 5 doors)

I'm ashamed to say I don't know the colour name. Especially as mine is the same colour, dynamic model :D haha

Lovely looking motor. What engine is it? I love those alloys as well. Getting mine powder coated anthracite as the dark wheels complement this colour so well. Especially with my tints. My favourite little feature is the window open/close feature from the key fob. If I hold down my open button it opens all of my windows. Front and rear. If I hold lock it closes them all. I'm not even sure how to turn the auto lock on. How did you do it? Would be a good thing for me to have on for my daughters sake.

I'll try the auto window feature tomorrow when it's dry. that's a cool feature. Mines a 1.4 engine. The alloys were really one of the selling points to me! I love how they're basically the same colour as the car! :)

The auto lock is on the menu by the headlight adjustment, and it's called "autoclose" scroll it to on, and when you exceed 20km/h it locks the doors. Also: with your daughters safety in mind: you do use the child locks don't you?

Have you toyed with the "follow me home" settings?

Follow me home doesn't help me. I park adjacent to my house lmao. But I used to use it in my Grande Punto before I moved out.

My daughter is only 9 months old and in her car seat. She can't reach handles in any way. But will be looking into it. The auto lock will be good to stop outsiders getting in. As I couldn't do anything from the drivers seat if ever I was stuck in a bad situation. So I'll flick that in tomorrow. Cheers.

That auto window thing always seems a bit badly thought out I like the closing but why would I want to open ALL the windows it would be much handier if there was a configuration option to, for example, open just the front windows(??) likewise shame you can't just unlock the drivers door on first press like on most cars and all doors on second always felt that was much more secure

Super hot day? Unwind the windows a little bit, a couple of minutes before you get in? Just let some of the heat out?

Is it not an optionin the menu? I've not looked on my Bravo as I don't feel it would benefit me, but I know that it was and option on the Stilo. Would need to double click unlock to unlock all of the doors and boot.

:yeahthat: why would you want only half the windows open? That was the only bug bearer on my Stilo as it only had electric front windows so would not open the rear. Also bugs me the Bravo doesn't open the sunroof at the same time, it does on the Stilos.

Not found it in configuration but of course I suppose it might be possible, I also find it slightly odd that unlocking the doors unlocks the boot when there is also a separate boot release button on the fob, not the very best logic for security

Hi do u know if the auto close Windows works on a 1,4 tjet 120 as I only my front ones are electric ,I ask as I've never heard this b4 ,thanks

Hi just tryed it ,it does ,you learn a new thing everyday lol

Well the rears obviously won't open as they are manual. The front ones should. The best way to try it is simply stand outside of the car. Lock it then unlock it but keep your finger on the unlock button and the windows will start to open. They open for as long as you hold the button. So if you want them fully open. Hold down the button until fully open. Also works the other way. When getting out the car if any widows are open there's no need to get back in the car. Just hold down the lock button. Again it does the same thing, it will close for as long as you hold the button. So if you want to close them fully keep the button pressed. Back windows will not close of they arnt electric

For those that don't know the key fob also has two lock modes, there's the single lock. Which will still allow the doors to be opened from the inside, and the dead lock, you activate this by pressing the lock button about 2 seconds after you originally lock the car. This stops the handles being used to unlock the car. It even stops the button on the dashboard from working that locks the car. WARNING! NEVER dead lock a car with someone still inside. If ever there was some sort of emergency they will not be able to get out,

Oh and the last thing the key does is allow you to open the boot with the car locked, warning. When you close the boot after pressing his button the boot will be locked again so do not lock your keys in the boot.

:yeahthat: roof isn't operated by the key remote like it is on the Stilo.

Just wondering does the sun roof close when holding down the lock key? You say it doesn't open but didn't say if it closed. I'd think it is very silly if it doesn't as a great way to use the lock feature is if you've left the windows or sunroof open slightly and it starts to rain. Which it likes to do in this country.
