Obviously but not everyone wants to wire the whole house :p.

I'm wiring my next house with Cat5e before I move in as a priority lol. Might put a whole wiring cab in a spare cupboard and RJ45 points throughout the house :ROFLMAO:.

do it!! i often thought if you were doing it right you could fit pipes into the walls to allow you to future proof for any new tech requiring wires

now if i can get that lottery win i will just move here

nothing too fancy but i could make do ;)

Its is for 90% of people cause they don't know jack s*** about networking and the fact that walls, floors, ceiling etc cause dropouts.

And as a general rule its quite low powered so suffers more than a decent PC wifi card. (I've found anyway).

Exactly, ive got a friend (noob) who recently bought a PS3 and asked me which router to buy, i pointed to a nice wireless N router & he bought a very cheap unknown branded £20-30 job, in the living room with the PS3 upstairs 4-5 walls away and hes on a bare basic no thrills connection.

Anyone tell me if he was selected as a host in MW2 that he wouldn't cause lag issues ?..... and hes just a "normal" person, doesnt do PC games just console stuff, represents the average joe who just bought a PS3 with a cheap router.

P.s, when i bought this house i made sure to put high quality cat5e (might of been cat6, cant remember now) cables & ports upstairs & downstairs, nothing too fancy but it was a simple & neat setup, just means my stuff upstairs can be connected to the router downstairs with nothing more difficult that plugging the cable into the socket.

Well im hoping to be wiring this baby up soon (possible new house "fingers crossed"):-
