OH! lol, i thin that was the wrong link, i found one that says that microsoft has agreed a deal for samsung to make one for them and should be out in 2011.

i'll try and find that one!

i dont see the point from M$ point of view
the costs of the add on drive with potential sales
whats a BR drive for 360 going to cost? £100+
most would put that £100+ towards a PS3 or standalone unit
different if it was available from launch

I think it says its down to the reason that the blu-ray player is probably the main reason people buy the PS3 over the 360.

how many people would go and buy a 360 on the strength of an available BR add on?
far better IMO to remove/reduce the fee for xbox live
install wifi
allow the use of 3rd party hard drives
as moves to increase the user base

yeah i'm with you on free xbox live.

whats the deal with the 3rd party hard drive? wasn't there an update recently that meant that was now allowed?

Blu-Ray is not coming to Xbox 360.

Xbox Live Gold fee check out my link (£2.33/month, instead of £4.50, this is me & my friend use.), its not free but then its a live maintained service using dedicated servers (except MW2 -.-) ... PS3 uses minimal servers & P2P hosting which is why lag is more prevalent.

HDD Storage on the 360 is ****, no doubt about that... a 700gb HDD can be picked up for £50-60, but a 120GB drive for the 360 costs about £100... complete rip off, i hope MS drop there prices or make it user changeable (without too much difficulty unlike the current process.) + the recent update allowed use of USB Memory Sticks & External HDD's (apperently.) but only upto 16gb.

WiFi, personally i'm glad they didnt put wifi in the xbox... yeah, its inconvenient.. but PS3 lags because its safe to say almost everyone on PS3 is using WiFi on unsuitable connections / routers / through walls / floors with alot of EM interference.... Xbox using a solid cable connection reduces lag, increases security, and increases bandwidth & then the Wi-Fi adapter is a premium price, so hopefully only people who know what there doing with Wireless-N devices know what there doing.

however its a selling point,it would be okay if the wfi add for 360 was reasonable, but lets be honest its over priced by more than 50%
or for me,better if they fitted gigabit ethernet

Problem with letting the uneducated masses having is it'd affect the overall QoS imo.

though, as a supposed "hub" for home entertainment gigabit would certainly be nice, lets hope the 360 slim has some improvements.

Ahem not quite its £79.99 for a 250GB with a transfer cable.

considering this a game they'll be cheaper elsewhere too..

Personally I couldn't care less about storage space all I do is "cache" my fav games to the HDD I've got a PC to do PC things lol. But then again both PC and 360 & PS3 are all connected to the same 30" HP Full HD monitor. If they weren't i'd store the movies on PC and use Media Centre Extender.

I stream now, however not everyone wants/has a PC in range to stream files over
also the fact M$ want to get people buying digitally then they need to allow folks the space to do it

Very true. Luckily I've got a spare 120GB HDD from when I had to buy a new 360 elite after my original one blew up for the second time (MS washed their hands off it!).

Also to note the 360 now has a Wireless N addon which allows up to 300mbit in ideal conditions. This of course needs a WirelessN access point / router. So the need to physically "wire" has diminished as it will happily stream uncompressed HD over the wireless lan no probs.

I have an N router but I'll take wired gigabit everytime ;)
