Filters question

hey lads how come i cant use this product ony a

1.4S 12V - yes i know its crap but its my first car and gona keep it a year at least


product i was interested in is


K + N 57i Induction kit to fit Fiat Bravo + Brava.

Model number is 57-0160.
Cant be used on:

1995 (and later) FIAT BRAVA 1.6L F/I - 90/103BHP, All
1995 (and later) FIAT BRAVA 1.8L F/I - 113BHP, All
1995 (and later) FIAT BRAVA 2.0L F/I - 147BHP, All
1995 (and later) FIAT BRAVO 1.6L F/I - 90/103BHP, All
1995 (and later) FIAT BRAVO 1.8L F/I - 113BHP, All
1995 (and later) FIAT BRAVO 2.0L F/I - 147BHP, HGT 20v

ok guys with your techie knowledge can u explain how come it dont work on a 1.4 is the engine not have the neccesary bits and bobs for it

if i recall correctly the air hoses are different diameters on the different models, and the supplied hoses are different shapes/sizes according to the engine design so that it fits in the right place

lol cheers so basicly thr 1.4 engine totaly sucks and the air hoses and other things are in the wrong place to allow it to be fitted ach well.

i see there is a filter by k&n for the 1.4 dont suppose it does much does it lol ?

are there any other things to make it accelarate better or just get a better bit of performance without going to extreme amounts of cash

thats a panel filter, it will do it's job well (filtering air) and lasts a lifetime but no induction or noise.

no problem, just wont need the panel filter, it's one or the other. panel filters go in the existing air box to replace the paper ones that get changed every service, your induction kit will replace the box completely.

mate those filters r PANEL FILTERS reason it dont fit urs is urs is a different size to the rest.

get ur self an induction kit. i think GREEN FILTER make and induction kit for ur car. but u r better off getting a saxo 1.4 kit or something just make ur own mate.

hey yeh just gona get induction kit so u where sayin something about the induction kit for saxa while i would love to make my own just remeber

am a complete novice with cars hehe if it was a pc wed be sorted

wats the diameter of the pipe going to the airbox. on the 1.6 and 1.8 its a 3" rubber pipe.

if urs is a 3" pipe also (i dunno), then go look for a 3" 1.4 cone from a saxo or something. if its less then get a small diameter cone if u need help mate just drop me a post.
