Fiat's master plan ??

I have wondered of late just what is Marchionne's master plan - chucking cash at Chrysler Jeep seems to have paid off Stateside, ditto at Ferrari and Maserati.
Throwing cash at Alfa may come to nowt as before while Fiat is withering on the vine waiting for much needed new models.
Unless Fiat have some competitive and competitively priced new cars soon and a halo model (not another Abarth) to generate interest the new generation will be unaware of Fiat unless they are petrolheads.
So, just what is the plan ?

Well, Alfa got two halo models: the TZ3 Stradale and the 4C.

So at least that's the engine sorted (the 4C, not the Viper).

Let's see. The most interesting thing may well be which competition (or even which market) they go for.
