Tuning Fiat Tipo 1.9 turbo diesel configuration

Hello guys, I'm first time on this forum.
first, sorry, when I'm not good wit the words, but I studied english only in school.

Tipo 1.9 TD engine (what is on the first pictures) is 160.D1.000 or 160.A6.000 code engine (there are little differences between the two). These engines have pre-combustion chambers, like most of the diesel engines from this era. And also have a mechanical injection pump, these are BOSCH VE-R
Filling pressure from the turbo is maximized at 0,8 bar (~11,6psi), at this pressure, the wastegate blows off. This pressure is disponibile soon at ca. 3000-3200rpm.
These engines can used even with biodiesel, but it's better, when not only used with that, rather mixed with normal diesel fuel (70%biodiesel-30%normal diesel)
When somebody have more questions, feel free to ask. I worked former at a diesel service :)

I am a bit late to this discussion but thanks to Jonti pointing out the explanation concerning indirect injection on a diesel. Perkins used one for many years which was called Ae:ROFLMAO:ow. Fiat uses one on this engine though I do not know the shape. Contrary to previous comments both this FIAT and Perkins with Ae:ROFLMAO:ow are quite noisy especially when cold.
The turbo on this Fiat is designed to cut in when engine exceeds 2000 rpm though why this I do not know.
Furthermore there is an intercooler between the turbocharger and the inlet manifold to lwer temperature of the air and increase the density. Another factor to consider if a mechanical blower is fitted. The engine has heaps of power I suggest you use it as is, relocating the turbo somewhere. Jim
