Fiat stilo.....cd player

Hi there, I have just fitted an after market cd player to my Stilo using "Installing an after market stereo" by Stuart 89 and I have to say what a fantastic, easy and clear "How To" post this is....Thank you very much.

I do however have one question basically to clear my own mind,
I have set mine up on option 1 - Constant power feed to the stereo....Turn on-Turn off manually (not through the ignition yet this may come at a later date).

If I turn the player off and disconnect the front face will the basic cd player drain the battery, (in my own mind it shouldn't because it is not switched on drawing power).

This will all depend upon the headunit, they're all different and some will and some won't. Only one way to find out really

My guess is that it would if it has a clock as it would need power to remember what the time is...

Would only imagine that it is a very small drain tho

No, as the memory will still be drawing power to retain presets and clock even if wired into an ignition switched live
