my stilo 1.9 JTD 2004 is not starting, I have changed the engine, it was badly damaged after my gf decided to drive the car without oil, the engine turns nicely without problems when i start it, but it doesn't run. I have this error from the fiatecu (P1320 cam/crank sensor synchronization no signal) I have replaced the crank sensor and am still getting the same error, and it is still not starting. the pin marking on the crank is facing the below marking on the block.

Your camshaft sprocket is at least one tooth wrong. It needs to be exactly in line with the pointer. You need to align the straight edge through the center of the camshaft bolt and the mark on the sprocket and the pointer on the plastic cover.

Only way to ensure the crankshaft sprocket is aligned and can't move while fitting the belt is to use the locking tool.

There should be three white lines on the belt to check it's aligned correctly. Third line is for the fuel pump which doesn't need to be timed on the JTD engine so you only need to use the correct two lines.
