Hmm,
Nothing in the service schedule about gearbox oil change. Just a level check every 80,000km. Typically gearbox oil will be changed because of something else like pulling drive shafts or a gearbox issue rather than at a specific mileage or age.
Capacity is 2.4l

I don't disagree with that, it's just the oil is likely have been changed co-incidentally if the gerbox or driveshafts have been out for other reasons.Thats what Fiat specify, they also design the car to last 10 years. That old nutshell 'common sense' says that it can do no harm to change it and Fiat helpfully provided a drain plug and a fill plug, so they must expect it to be done.
Its amazing the difference some nice fresh oil can make to the quality of the drive.
