General Fiat ritmo caliper

Hello! I was thinking if i there was any way to get those sliding plates that sits on the caliper (those instead of sliding bolts).
Or can i just take it all from a fiat ritmo 130 tc (iirc it has a caliper with sliding bolts).

Because if the plates breaks or torn im quite f’d.
And i would rather have calipers with sliding bolts.

I dont really understand the question

You show 'sliding plates'..

They should be simple to find ..or replace..

Or do you want to go to a more modern brake build.. on 'sliding bolts'..?

I want to go more modern. I’ve heard it should fit from a Fiat Uno

The sliding plates were only ever available as part of a kit with 4 plates, 4 wrinkle/lock pins, 4 anti-rattle clips and 4 pressure springs. Original kit P/N:9941674 replaced by 9942948.

With the 130TC then needless to say the "parts out of production - no replacements available".

A Google of 9942948 shows a site in Germany offering then at 135 Euros.

I can assure you that you will not break those plates and even if you were to lose one then any machine shop could make replacements.

Going more modern I can understand. I recall people upgrading their 130s front brakes going to twin pot and even four pot calipers but these were really expensive upgrades basically replacing everything.

The 105TC had a different set-up to the 130TC. It had the caliper on sliding pins but then the wheel hubs, track control arms etc. are all different.

The 130TC caliper where also used on Renault 5, 12 and 17 vehicles. Plenty of cross references on the web and callipers supplied by TRW, Quinten Hazel, Lucas, .....
