General fiat punto r reg 1.2 16 central locking problem.

hey i own a fiat punto 1.2 16v sporting R reg when i brought the car the central locking never worked i used to just lock it with the key, all of a sudden i now cannot lock the doors with the key in either driver side or passanger side. any one know how to fix this problem could it be electrical or mechanical? has any 1 had this problem before? also the key won't go all the way in the drivers side it seems to get stuck but will the passanger side many thanks sean.

Sounds like yoor locks have been damaged, might not be but I had that problem after someone had jammed a screwdriver in the door of my saxo! Got rid of it after that! and they obviously didn't know the simple 2 second way into a saxo without making any noise!

Probably just oil needed in the locks to get them going again, water and low temperature tends to jam them!.

Not been as cold past few days though and if it is frozen get rather hot water, and pour it in locks, try that a few times and see if it works!
