Fiat Punto Grande Help - Boot not locking

Hi All

Long time Forum stalker first time poster, I have an issue to where my boot is not locking properly, it looks as if the bottom locking catch is not registering (pictures below) as it moves and feels loose. I've had a look and I've tried removing the panel which secures this but it doesn't want to budge.

On closer inspection it looks as if there's two additional (screws?) which are holding the panel on place and I am unsure how or if I can remove these. Any help is welcome
