Fiat Punto Grande 08 plate Radio Problems..

Hey, just bought a Fiat Punto Grande 08 plate yesterday and the Radio keeps crackling yet the aerial on the roof seems to be fine, it will work when sat still then when starting to drive it sometimes works but then it crackles and get's louder/quieter all the time
Shown on the radio it would say " Tuner Fm 96.5" For example.. i was wondering if that is what it's meant to say as my old car would say " Radio Wave" or something like that..

Anyone could give me some advice on what it could be would be greatful

Its a long shot but you could try removing the radio and seeing if the ariel is properly attached to the radio

You could also remove the ariel stalk from the top of the car and check that it is in good condition. Check the part that it screws into as well. See if thats somehow become damaged or corroded
