General Fiat Punto Evo 2012

I have bought a Punto Evo 2012
It has been chipped to 165
When I bought it, was in limp mode.
I had a specialist reset the Cam Belt but it would not let him get the car out of limp mode.
Any ideas on this?
Is it worth getting a Virgin ECU to return to factory settings?

I have a 2010, unfortunately swapped my vw Golf temporarily with my son. He had had nothing but electrical issues for the past 2 years. It seems when it rains the car goes into limp mode, the engine light is permanently on amongst others. Sorry this doesn't answer your question but highlights common and expensive problems with this dreadful vehicle.

A poorly fitted fusebox lid can wreak havoc..
