Technical Fiat Punto 1.6, Turbo?

Hey, I own a 1.6 8V Punto sporting and am considering a turbo conversion on it, does anyone know of a turbo kit in exsistance for it?
I have a place that will custom make me one, just wondering if there was a kit out there?

Also What kinds of things do i want to be upgrading with the turbo for it to work well.
I understand what the turbo does and how but not what else i need!!

Your engine is longer stroke version of the GT 1.4.

The GT exhausts fit
The GT Turbo fits (you'll need a bracket)

It all fits from the GT.
You'll need
Gt gearbox to get the gearing up.
Gt brakes to stop with.
Gt intake and exhaust.
GT ecu with remap, or DTA or megasquirt or ......
Low compression pistons - 88mm? forge.

All the GT turbo bits.

By a GT with a shot head or whatever and thats your kit.


Kit? The garage is taking the micky

Just finished researching this...there are a few around.

standard GT 1.4 turbo on a 1.6 and refitted correctly I would assume would give at least the power of the 1.4.

I think the problem you will have is fueling, unless ALL the 1.4 GT wiring fits it, in which case, the usual SEB chips and stuff will fit, meaning around 180-190 is EASILY attanable with the std turbo


and then your gearbox will implode :devil:
