The under pinnings of the idea was punto, so quite a few of the electronics parts are shared

I took thought it was Punto-based,
but nothing stood out a Punto-esque..??

anyway it's an eleganza and the message is consyantly on the meassage board / alternates with time/date,

looks like i'm going to buy MES after all..,

i have this prob too. I press the "mode" button after a minute and this clears the airbag failure message

It takes the message off of the dot matrix display but doesnt solve the fault.

No but at least it gets rid of that annoying message

I've just got my leads through the post,
so I'll get the free MES over xmas and attempt to diagnose the faults + clear the stored faults too,
I Will try the pressing of the menu button though..see what happens.. pretty sure that's how the daily driver cleared the service message too..!!
